We have read about the charge assumption report and about its issuance and pattern. Now let's talk about Charge relinquishment. When an Officer post out of the Ministry to his/her parent department, he relinquishes the charge of that particular post he is appointed against. Similarly after receiving the notification for posting of the Officer to any other department, officer relinquishes the charge of the post by giving the report.
It is quite the reverse of charge assumption report and notification as can be seen as under in the Templates.
