Using Pen Tool in Photoshop (Daniyal's Photography)

Pen tool is useful to cut the picture from a background or background from an Image. It is simple to use however, demands precision and practice. There are other selection tool like Lasso tool, Magnetic Tool, however, I prefer to use this one. So now let's start it.

Choose an Image of anything, I have chosen this Black Kitty Picture to work with.

Now Select Pen Tool.

Adjust the settings as under:-

Now start applying the tool by making a border around the item you want to cut from the Image.

You will see that a  border will started to appear in form of nodes connected to each other. it will continue till you reach the end of the item and beginning of the Node.

in the End you will have to meet joints to complete the process.

A line will appear when you join the two nodes.

Now go to layer panel

Click on Paths

Click on Load Path as Selection Icon

You will see that the line becomes selection.

Now select the Move tool

Make a New Image File

Filled it with black Color

and then Drag the Black Kitty on the new Canvas

Lol, Initially it will look like this.

Now here is the time to repeat all previous lessons you have gone through make it presentable.

Now use Burn Tool, Color Balance, levels to completely change the picture..
