If you have just bought a New DSLR and you have no idea how to learn it and take pictures of Macro/Close-up, Landscape, Sports, Party Night, Portrait etc. All you have to do is to use the Auto Shooting Modes already available in the Camera. I like Macro Photography a lot and often take pictures of such type whether it is of insect or a human or even a Bee enjoying its day on a flower.
Now, let me tell you the trick for beginners, go outside and take a landscape photo with a clear sky and greenery. It will be a very good shot as it has taken on the mode made for such photos. Now, if you are a beginner, you should find a option in the Camera that will show you all the setting Auto Mode for Landscape has used to take the picture.
Now, try this for all the Auto Shooting Modes, you can learn a great deal about shutter priority, aperture through this. Select the Sport Mode in you camera and take pictures of running Kids, animals, pets, bees. then see on what detail the camera selected for these pictures.
It will help you a lot in learning the DSLR Photography quickly. However, you've got to learn the management of white balance in different places.
After these auto modes, go to A, P and S to learn more. But these Auto Modes will help you a lot.
