Management of Leave of an Officer

While working in Administration Branch of a Ministry, you often get requests from the Officers regarding grant of leave for a period of particular days. The Officer sends his request in either hand written form or typed form. Soon after receiving the request, it has been examined in all aspects i.e. availability of leave in the credit of the Officer, provision of substitute during the leave period and to see that if the leave is falling under the rules. In the routine, it mostly does. So we don't really need to worry about that. As usual, it is first put up on file by the Section for approval of the competent authority.

Let's say, a person is desiring 15 days Rest and Recreation Leave. According to Leave Rules in Pakistan, the said leave is granted for 15 days however, the deduction is of 10 days.

you see in the second Para, we have mentioned rules regarding provision of the Rest and Recreation Leave. After preparation an signing the note, the file is sent to next authority for examining before decision in the case.

After approval, we issue a particular Notification for grant of leave to the Officer and issue it to all the relevant sections. template of the Notification for leave is given as under:-
