A Review on Sigma DG MACRO 70-300MM F/4-5.6-Daniyal'sPhotography

SIGMA DG MACRO 70-300 mm

I have been using this amazing lens for almost 01 month now on Nikon D3100 and have really been impressed. Although while auto focusing, the motor of the lens almost screams. However, it still gives amazing results on Macro and Zoom Photography. Although I haven’t get a chance to take it our and have full use of it but still, quite impressive. I took it in the Bird Aviary situated in Lake View Park, Islamabad, Pakistan to take some shots by it and got very good results. Some of the pictures can be seen as under:-

 

 

This is not all, I have a pet kitty that I love a lot, i took her outside and start shooting, the most fascinating and interesting thing about the pictures taken by Sigma DG Macro 70-300 mm is the Bokeh effect it gives to the background along-with the blurry effect too. So here are the pictures of my kitty.

 

as you can see, those are some beautiful Bokeh Background and check the Blur. I have also used it in one of the wedding events and it gave Good results there too.

 

Now let's check the few macro shots I took of a Fly, remember fly is a very small insect to take a closer picture of it, we need a Macro Lens made for telephotography/macro photography. Here are a couple of shots.

 

Over-all it is a good camera and can be used outdoor for Weddings Shoots / Model Shoots but not for taking pictures in Indoor Parties. I am sure, I do not need to tell why. People who are thinking of buying it, can go for it, if they are interested in outdoor photography wild life photography. It is good product.
